A cybersecurity researcher located in Austria who had been scammed away from $500 (?375) claims their cash had been came back on facebook after he tracked down the scammer’s family and contacted them.
Christian Haschek’s article about how exactly he caught the thief was seen significantly more than 100,000 times in five times.

Mr Haschek states he has “mixed emotions” about their success.
